The country music hit-making band Restless Heart will headline the Louisiana Railroad Days Festival this weekend in Dequincy.

The festival is a fundraiser for the Dequincy Federated Service League and grew from a smaller event to what it is today. It is held at Dequincy Railroad Museum Park on Lake Charles Avenue the second weekend of April each year.

Saturday's events for the free, family-friendly festival open with a 5K and continue with carnival rides, arts and crafts, the city's very own talent competition, a look-a-like contest, and plenty of musical entertainment.

The festival wraps up with the band that hit the music charts 26 times and made it to the top six. Restless Heart has been entertaining music fans since 1984, the same year the Louisiana Railroad Days Festival started. They will take the stage at 8:00 Saturday night.
