One of the fastest rising stars in all of Zydeco music, Rusty Metoyer, will be playing in the Lake Area this weekend, and we've got everything you need to know about the show...

Here in Southwest Louisiana, we are very fortunate to have a ton of great places to catch live and local musicians while also being able to catch National artists as well!

There are also a TON of things going on this weekend here in Lake Charles. Of course, the McNeese Homecoming Parade is Thursday Night, the Cowboy Block Party with L.A. ROXX on Friday, the McNeese vs Houston Christian Football Game, Chuck Fest is on Saturday, and so much more. If you're still looking for something to do, you must not be looking very hard. (haha)

Rusty Metoyer has become one of the hottest zydeco artists not only in Southwest Louisiana, but the entire Deep South. The band is led by Rusty Metoyer, a self-taught musician from Lake Charles. Music runs in his family—his uncles and grandfathers all played Creole French, Zydeco, Jazz, and Blues. Rusty picked up the accordion by ear in the traditional French style, and he’s proud to keep his Creole roots alive.
