Sam Houston High School is once again getting ready for fun in the sun during its annual alumni incrediball tournament.

“This will be our fifth year to play,” said SHHS tournament board member Chad Huber.

It is a great time to get together and reminisce with childhood and high school friends. I graduated from SHHS in 1999 and enjoy playing in the tournament each year. We have thirty-two teams that have already signed up for the games, which will be played across a two-day span.

Each year, the SHHS alumni incrediball board unanimously chooses a classmate or community member to donate the tournament proceeds to. Huber said the board has decided to donate all proceeds to the daughter of alumnus Keith Lemoine, who passed away earlier this year.

Class teams that play in the tournament range from 2019 to as far back as 1980s.

This year’s tournament will be played on August 21-22 at the Enos Darbonne Complex on Lake St. Admission is free. The home run derby is open to anyone for $1 a swing, and will take place on Saturday from noon until 2:00pm.
