Texas Teachers Can Get Free Whataburger Breakfast — Here’s How
KNGT-FM - Next week is National Teacher Appreciation Week, and Whataburger is showing some big Texas love to teachers by offering a free breakfast to say “thank you” for everything they do.
From Monday, May 6, through Friday, May 10, teachers across Texas can stop by any participating Whataburger from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. to enjoy a free breakfast entrée. Just show a valid school ID when ordering. This offer is good for dine-in, drive-thru, or takeout, but it is not available through the app or website, so make sure to visit in person.
This is the fourth year in a row Whataburger has honored teachers with free breakfast during Teacher Appreciation Week. The week was first started in 1984, thanks to an idea from First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, who believed teachers deserved their day of recognition. Now, the first full week of May is set aside each year to celebrate educators across the country.
And Whataburger isn’t stopping at free food. In honor of its 75th anniversary, the Texas-based company is giving back even more by awarding 75 teachers with $1,000 classroom grants—a total of $75,000 to help support students and schools. Since 2022, Whataburger has donated over $160,000 through its WhataTeacher grants, part of the company’s Feeding Student Success program, which helps with education and fights hunger in communities.
Teachers can pick from popular breakfast favorites like:
- Taquito with Cheese
- Breakfast on a Bun
- Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit
So if you’re a teacher in Texas, don’t miss out! Stop by Whataburger next week, grab your free breakfast, and know that your hard work is seen and appreciated.
