Most of us have at least one story about The Blue Angels performing at the Chennault Air Show. When I was a kid, my mom and dad would make it a point to bring me to see the famous Blue Angels.

The Blue Angels are the United States Navy's Flight demonstration squad. They initially formed in 1946 and are the second oldest. The Blues, as they are called, still include the same practices and techniques they used in 1946. According to the United States Navy website, their schedule for 2021 includes 55 demonstrations and 29 locations. They will be performing in Lake Charles June 4-6 in 2021.

It has been decades since the Blue Angels have been to the Chennault Air Show. Make sure to take your kids and your grandkids to witness history. If you have never seen them perform, you are in for a jaw-dropping experience. Spectators will get to see the classic diamond formation, along with solo acrobatics which include high-speed passes, slow passes, fast rolls, slow rolls, and very tight turns. Mary Jo Bayles, executive director of the airshow, told KPLC, "We’re thrilled for our next show in 2021."

Mark your calendars now, because you will never have the blues with angels on your side.
