We finally got rid of Isaias, which battered a bunch of states last week as it made its run up the entire east coast of the United States, from Florida all the way up through New England.

Now, it's time to take a look again at the Atlantic and keep an eye on an area of disturbed weather churning in the ocean right now. The National Weather Service is giving this system a 70% chance of forming in the next 48 hours and a 70% chance of forming in the next five days.

If this storm forms and gets a name, it will be called Josephine. That got me thinking that we already have a South Louisiana theme song for it.

What y'all think? Just because I am saying this means this storm will probably head this way. Don't get me wrong, I am not wishing a storm on us.

The disturbance probably won't last long, according to forecasters. They have been saying even if it forms, once it gets to the Lesser Antilles, conditions are not favorable for the storm to gain strength or maybe even stay together.

No matter what happens, remember this is the part of the hurricane season that is the most active. August and September historically produce not only the most hurricanes but some of the strongest. Remember to have a plan in place and have your hurricane preparedness kits ready.

They say two weeks of food, water, and gas are some of the most important supplies you will need, along with batteries. Get everything together because you never know when you may need them.
