The Southland Conference doesn't host a traditional "Media Day"; however, they do a similar event called the "Opening Drive." This year's event will be held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. The Southland Opening Drive is in conjunction with the annual Texas High School Coaches Association.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. and will broadcast live on the Southland Conference YouTube channel.

All 10 Southland Conference Football teams will be represented at the Opening Drive. McNeese will be sending new (again) Head Coach Matt Viator, along with Defensive End Masey Lewis and Offensive Lineman William Bressi.
