Christmas is tomorrow and if you haven't decided what to cook yet, we have some ideas. If you are not from Louisiana, you may have never tried these before but if you are from the Bayou state, then you may want to cook these dishes instead of the regular old turkey or ham. We mean, you ate that for Thanksgiving anyway.

Being a Louisiana Cajun means you like to spice up your food and as we said above, you may want an alternative to the traditional turkey and or ham we all usually have for Thanksgiving. We know in some of our listener's households, they opt to cook a traditional Cajun dish to change it up some.

We just found out yesterday that boiled crawfish is already being served at restaurants in the area. Here is a list of them. You may want to opt for that. You know order you a sack or two of live crawfish and boil them on Christmas day. That would be different.

5. Traditional steak rice and gravy. Cajuns love to brown down a steak (usually a chuck steak) in their cast iron pots and make a thick brown gravy to go with a side of rice.

4.  Meatball Stew. Make yourself a roux and cook it down and then get your hamburger meat, bread crumbs, seasoning, and the Holy Trinity and make you some meatball stew.

3.  Jambalaya. Cajuns love cooking up a Jambalaya because it's easy and you can feed a ton of people. The traditional jambalaya is pork and smoked sausage.

2.  Fried Turkey. A spin on the traditional smoked or baked turkey. Cajuns love fried food anyway so fry you up a turkey and try it.

Try one of these out this year, your friends and family will be pleasantly surprised.
