As Louisiana just moved into phase three, it looks like bars, casinos and concert venues have starting planning to bring concerts back to Southwest Louisiana. This is proven as we have just learned Country music icon, Gary Allan, has been booked for a big concert in Lake Charles in June.

Allan has been entertaining audiences since 1996, so if you do the math, that is 25 years now. He is best known as a great ballad singer, as most of his biggest hits are ballads. Her Man, It Would Be You, Best I Ever Had, and It Ain't The Whiskey are some of his most popular.

He has four #1 hits and has released 32 singles with several top tens to his credit. One of my favorite songs is Watching Airplanes, which is also one of his biggest smash hits.

The 53 year-old singer has had some huge highs in his career as well as lows, as he lost his wife back in 2004 and never remarried.

Since then, Allan has been focusing on his career and touring all over the country. He is no stranger to Southwest Louisiana, as he has made our area a stop on his tours for the past 12 years.

Gary Allan will be in Lake Charles on Friday, June 18 at the Golden Nugget inside the Grand Event Center at 8:30pm. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 19.
