Free Movie Night at Ward 3 Lake Charles This Friday, June 26th

Lake Charles, Louisiana - Summertime means we're always looking for kid-friendly events going on around the Southwest Louisiana area. This Friday night here in Lake Charles, there's going to be a free showing of Zootopia 2 for the public at the Lake Charles Ward 3 Sports Centre Complex.

Ward 3 has announced major upgrades to nine sports and recreation facilities around the Lake Charles area, funded by a $30 million bond over 15 years. Improvements include new turf at Cougar Stadium, better parking, bathrooms, concessions, and upgraded locker rooms. Other projects include new turf fields, swimming pools, pickleball courts, a skating rink, new bleachers, scoreboards, and updated community spaces like senior rooms and event centers.

If you're looking for something to do with the kids this weekend and don't want to break the bank, there will be a FREE movie night here in Lake Charles on Friday Night.

Free Movie Night in Lake Charles - June 26th

Friday Night at the Movies – Pool Party will take place on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the Lake Charles Ward 3 Sports Centre Complex. The event runs from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and is being presented by Southern Touch Entertainment. They will be showing “Zootopia 2.” Free popcorn, sodas, and hot dogs will also be provided for everyone attending.
