American Idol is a great platform for singers who want to make it big in the music industry. Many past contestants have gone on to become famous musicians. Even if you don’t win, auditioning can be a fun and rewarding experience. You get to meet other talented singers and learn more about performing.

Think you can be the next Louisiana American Idol winner? Louisiana has seen plenty of artists join the stages of American Idol. Artists ranging from Laine Hardy, Lindsey Cardinale, George Huff, and many others. Just a few years ago, Southwest Louisiana's own Dani Lacour tried out for American Idol and made it through to Hollywood Week.

We were fortunate enough to just watch Louisiana's own John Foster compete on Season 23 and make it all the way to the finale!

If you want to audition for Season 24 of American Idol, there are a few steps you have to go through before one would get to sing in front of the all-star panel of Judges, which includes Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan. Carrie Underwood joined American Idol during Season 23, but there has been no confirmation that she will join the show again this year.
