Lyft Now Available in Lake Charles

Lake Charles, La. - As of noon, March 22, Lyft is the first rideshare company to come into the city of Lake Charles. Residents can now request rides via the Lyft app or their website.

According to KPLC, Lyft was set to launch in 25 U.S. cities on today, and Lake Charles was on the list. The Lake Charles City Council enacted and finalized an ordinance back in February that would allow rideshare companies to operate in our growing city.

Lyft is now available in over 300 cities. It’s the only rideshare company to allow tips. Considering their drivers have brought in more than $150 million in tips, it has me thinking maybe I should become a Lyft driver. Just a thought!
