Last week, we lost a radio legend here in Southwest Louisiana Dale Mann (Goodman) passed away at the age of 78 years old. Dale's voice was a staple here in Southwest Louisiana and he was on the air for over 50 years in Southwest Louisiana and other parts of the country.

Dale's passing hit his listeners and even country music artists hard when they learned of his passing. One of those artists who loved Dale Mann was country music icon Neal McCoy. Neal and his tour just so happened to be in Lake Charles last Saturday for a show at the Golden Nugget's Grand Event Center.

You may not know this but Neal McCoy was Dale's favorite country music artist. Dale and Neal worked together on many projects and were instrumental in getting Neal gigs here in Lake Charles when Neal McCoy was just an up-and-coming country music artist.

I personally can remember seeing Neal perform several times at the legendary Cowboy's Nightclub here in South Lake Charles on Common Street where it still stands today.

We were scrolling through Facebook yesterday when we saw a post from Cowboy Country with Block Vincent who went backstage on Saturday to talk with Neal and he videotaped the conversation. They were talking about Dale Mann how Neal knew Dale and what he meant to his career. Check out what Neal and Block Vincent had to say.

Pretty cool huh? We are defeinatley going to miss our good buddy Dale Mann. Thank you to Neal for the kind words about our friend and thank you to Cowboy Country with Block Vincent for sharing this with us.
