A Reddit user posted the guide saying it "saved him so many times."

The man, claiming to be a sales executive at a New Orleans-based firm posted a one-page guide that he claims to have received on his first day at work. The list focuses on last names that are common in the New Orleans/South Louisiana area.

The list doesn't have solutions for all names that people may or may not pronounce, but it's definitely a way to avoid embarrassment—especially if you're someone who is clueless about Cajun culture.

What may be even better than the list itself is the fact that many Reddit users pointed out errors on a list that was specifically made to help others avoid making errors.

Do you see any errors on the list? If so, drop a note in the comments and check out the top replies on Reddit here at Nola.com.
