Major Changes Coming For Louisiana & Texas Bargain Hunters – What You Should Know…
(KNGT-FM) - Bargain hunters might want to act fast, as it looks like one of the biggest retail hacks is about to disappear. A major policy change is going into effect, and it could cost you more at the register starting this month. We've got everything you need to know about the changes and what customers can expect...

Target is one of the bigger retail stores in the United States. They offer everything from Groceries to Clothing, Baby Apparel, Electronics, Household Products, Medicine, and so much more. In the United States alone, there are nearly 2,000 total stores. Which state has the MOST stores?
1. California - 319 Stores
2. Texas - 158 Stores
3. Florida - 132 Stores
4. New York - 107 Stores
5. Illinois - 102 Stores
Texas has THREE of the Top 10 cities in the United States with the MOST Target stores in it... Houston has 16, San Antonio has 11, and Austin with 10. There are only about 13 Target stores in Louisiana.

Starting July 28, Target will no longer match prices from Walmart or Amazon, according to a recent company announcement.
This is a big shift for shoppers who used to compare prices between major retailers to get the best deal. Until now, Target's Price Match Guarantee allowed customers to request a price match for items found cheaper at Walmart, Amazon, or even Target.com. That part of the policy is going away.
How Does An Item Qualify For A Price Match at Target?
Now, the old hack isn't COMPLETELY going away... Target says it will still match its own online prices and any Target Circle deals for items you bought in-store, as long as the lower price is found within 14 days of purchase.
To qualify for a price match:
- The item must be the same (brand, size, model, color, etc.)
- The lower price must be found on Target.com or through Target Circle
- Items sold by third-party sellers do not count
So if you’re used to bringing in a screenshot from Amazon or Walmart to get a better deal at Target, you’ll want to make your price checks before July 28. After that, matching will only apply to Target’s own offers.
