Happy Easter Gator Country! I know some of you out there are hungry for football season, because I certainly am. Although football season is still a ways away, there is a lot of great sporting events on television to watch, as well as some action here in Lake Charles.

The McNeese baseball team will be looking for the sweep of New Orleans on Saturday at 3PM at Cowboy Diamond. McNeese won the opening game 7-3 on Thursday night and rallied for a 3-2 victory in extra innings on Friday night.

The McNeese softball team will be wrapping up their series in Thibodeaux against Nicholls with a doubleheader beginning at noon on Saturday. The Cowgirls will be looking to bounce back after a 2-0 loss Friday night in the series opener to Nicholls.

The Barbe Bucs baseball team will be hosting district foe Lafayette High at Barbe High School on Saturday at 1 o'clock. Barbe is 22-5 on the season, 5-1 in district play, and 14-1 on their home field this season. The Bucs currently on a five game winning streak.

The LSU baseball team will be looking for the sweep in Tuscaloosa against Alabama. The Tigers won a sixteen inning marathon Thursday night by a score of 8-5 and took the series last night with a 6-2 victory.

The NCAA Mens Final Four will be taking place tonight. It all gets started with Michigan State vs Duke tipping off on TBS at approximately 5:09pm. Following that game will be the undefeated Kentucky Wildcats taking on Wisconsin in a rematch from last years Final Four where Kentucky pulled away with a 74-73 victory. The winners will meet in the national championship game Monday night.

With the NBA playoffs looming, teams are making their final pushes for seeding and the Houston Rockets will play the Oklahoma City Thunder Sunday afternoon at noon on ABC in a crucial western conference showdown. It's not only crucial for Houston, but the New Orleans Pelicans too because they a game and a half behind Oklahoma City for the final playoff spot in the western conference.
