Despite Loss To McNeese, LSU Baseball Moves Up In Polls This Week

Last Tuesday, the LSU Tigers baseball team were shut out by McNeese 7-0.  Since then the Tigers have rattled of four straight wins including a three game sweep of Missouri over the weekend.  LSU went 4-1 last week which in the voters eyes was good enough to move up in three national polls.

LSU moved from # 9 to #5 in this weeks Baseball America top 25 poll.  They also went up in the in the Perfect Game Top 25 poll as they vaulted from # 17 to # 13.

The Tigers moved up one notch from #11 to #10 in the D1Baseball.com poll.  The Tigers currently sit at 25-11 on the season and 9-6 in SEC play.

This week LSU will host Southwestern Louisiana in a mid week contest then take on Mississippi State for three games in Alex Box stadium this weekend,

On another note, UL Lafayette is still hanging on in the Top 25 is a couple polls.  The Ragin' Cajuns are #24 in both the Baseball America top 25 and D1Baseball.com polls.
