Can you imagine grabbing lunch at Luna and bumping into Jim Carrey? Yeah, neither can I.

An article from KUPR 7 has been setting social media on fire with rumors of Jim Carrey moving Lake Charles, Louisiana. But, don't get too excited, it doesn't look like Jim will be settling in the Lake Area anytime soon.

In the KUPR 7 article, Jim Carrey Explains Why He's Moving to Lake Charles, Louisiana, the news source quotes Jim saying, “I’m just tired of the L.A. lifestyle and the fake people, honestly, and I feel like, at this point in my life, I’d rather just live in a place full of real, genuine people. I’ve been to Lake Charles a few times over the years and the people there are real… they’re genuine, and yeah every community has its problems but the people there are good, decent people and they care about their community. Those are the things I find most important in deciding where to live". Sounds too good to be true, right? That's because it is.

When I called KUPR 7 a "news source" in the paragraph above I was using the term loosely, very loosely. If you go to the "about" tab on their website you'll see that KUPR 7 is a "fantasy news site". Everything they post is either satire or pure fantasy, so, I think it's safe to say that Jim Carrey will not be moving to Lake Charles any time soon.

I know, it's kind of a bummer, but at least we aren't all sitting around planning how to become besties with Jim once he moves to the area anymore. And now we know not to trust anything KUPR 7 says. I mean, go ahead and read their stories, they are hilarious, just don't believe them...
