Texas McDonald’s Locations Unveil Massive Menu Shakeup
If you frequently visit McDonald's locations across the State of Texas, you will see a pretty big change moving forward. Not all changes are bad, and this one might be a pretty good change that might get Texas residents excited. We've got everything you need to know...
Fast food chains have become a staple in modern dining, offering quick, convenient, and affordable meal options to millions of people worldwide. Popular chains like McDonald's, Burger King, and Taco Bell have expanded globally, introducing their signature flavors to diverse markets. Whether you're craving a classic burger, crispy fries, or a refreshing milkshake, fast food chains provide a consistent experience, no matter where you are.
It feels like every corner you turn, there is a different fast food restaurant. In Texas alone, there are 1,186 McDonald's locations!
McDonald's is one of the world's most recognizable fast food chains, known for its golden arches and iconic menu items like the Big Mac, Chicken McNuggets, and French fries. McDonald's has grown to operate over 38,000 locations in more than 100 countries. The chain's focus on convenience, affordability, and consistency has made it a global favorite.
The changes that McDonald's are making is a part of the company trying to bounce back from a tough year, with sales struggling after prices increased by about 40% since 2019 to keep up with rising costs. The new menu was announced shortly after an E. coli outbreak earlier this year hurt sales. McDonald’s plans to spend $100 million on marketing and supporting franchises hit hardest by the health scare, which is now resolved.
During a press release that was released last week, McDonald's revealed its new value menu, called the “McValue” menu, is launching at restaurants across Texas and the U.S. on Tuesday. This is one of the chain’s biggest updates in years and aims to bring back customers who’ve been turned off by higher prices. The menu’s main attraction is the popular $5 meal deal, introduced earlier this year, along with a new “Buy One, Add One for $1” option that even includes breakfast.
App users can get even more offers, including free medium fries with a $1 purchase every Friday in 2025.
As part of the promotion, McDonald’s is giving away $3 million worth of deals from other brands, like a free month of YouTube TV or a Tinder subscription. To claim them, customers need to interact with McValue ads online. This new menu is the company’s biggest value-focused effort since 2018, replacing the old dollar menu that struggled due to rising prices. McDonald’s is betting big on the $5 value meal, which has been much more popular with customers looking for a good deal.
So, Texas residents should start seeing this menu across the over 200+ locations in the state. How do you feel about these changes? Let us know in the comments.
