Whataburger started in 1950 in Corpus Christi, Texas, when Harmon Dobson set out to make a burger so big and tasty people would say, “What a burger!” The 25-cent burger quickly became a hit, and the chain grew into a Southern favorite known for its orange-and-white roofs, fresh ingredients, and made-to-order meals...
Today, there are over 1,100 locations worldwide, with over 700 in Texas and 30 in Louisiana. According to ScrapeHero.com, there are Whataburger locations in 17 states and territories in the United States and 39 WITHOUT a location.

Whataburger is one of my favorite fast food restaurants. I mean, let's be real, you're not going to find a better overall cheeseburger than a Whataburger at another fast-food restaurant. Even their other items are great as well. My personal favorite is the Honey BBQ Chicken Strip Sandwich, that thing is AMAZING!!
If you're around a Whataburger location TODAY (Friday), you're going to want to go, because you might be able to grab a burger for CHEAP!

GET 75-CENT WHATABURGERS TODAY!
Whataburger fans have a reason to celebrate this week. The popular Texas-based burger chain is turning 75 years old TODAY (Friday, August 8, 2025), and they’re marking the occasion with big deals, new menu items, and a hometown party.
The biggest news is the 75-cent No. 1 burger deal. From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on August 8, Whataburger Rewards members can grab a classic No. 1 burger for less than a dollar. The offer is good for one per account and is only available through the Whataburger app or online ordering. Normally, the burger costs around $5 to $6, so it’s a major discount for fans.
The celebration doesn’t stop there. Starting August 5, Whataburger is rolling out limited-edition 32-ounce collectible cups featuring designs that honor the company’s 75 years. These cups will be released in stages throughout the month, so customers can collect them all.
So be sure to head on over to Whataburger TODAY (Friday) and take advantage of their .75-cent burgers!
